From te early days of Microsoft's NetMeeting, the
objective of an online meeting has been to recreate the brick-and-mortar
meeting familiar to all of us. Sophisticated online meeting environments like
GoToMeeting and Webex can handle multi-person video feeds from the digicam of
each attendee, and high-end teleconferencing centers have a way to project all
that into giant surround-sound flat panel displays.
In practice, the digicam usually shows the attendees
bald spot as he types away.
